Project outline
Managing a major project ALSTOM as the co-leader of the joint venture of the turnkey project to build a 40 km. Airport link for the Greek capital, is in charge of the project management engineering and the, the design and testing and commissioning and the supply of the railway electro-mechanical equipment as well as signaling, telecom, train control (ERTMS) and traffic management.
The airport link will be made of 15 stations equipped with: - Signaling and train detection system
- A SCADA sub-system: The SCADA equipment is compliant with IEC environmental standards relative to industrial equipment (including: IEC 654 - 3 - Vibration tests, IEC 654 - 1 - Temperature tests and EN 60529 - Protection index for enclosures).
- An ATS (automatic train supervision) Sub-system
- Other Telecommunication system (intercom, PABX system, passenger real time information sub-system, clock synchronization sub-system)
- A full security sub-system including CCTV, alarm system, emergency call point system, public address
- Ticketing system
All the subsystems share the same communication backbone which provides them with IP conveyance capability. Those sub-systems as well as the ATS one are managed in A global Control Center.
